A set of six French gilt brass and rock crystal eleven light wall lights (7 exterior, 4 interior), mid to late 19th Century, each of large proportions and with four feather crests at the upper section with reflective backs and chains of drops, and long facetted drops below. Approximately 125cm high, 50cm wide with a pleasing and symmetrical form. The upper foliate crestings have large Bagues style rock crystal tear drops hanging from them. Below this rock crystal button chains connect to the upper ring from which further rock crystal buttons hang to cover a reflective back plate illuminated by a bulb narrowing to a waist below which 7 candle lights are arranged over two tiers of 3 and 4 lights. All finished below with 3 tiers of concentric rock crystal myrzahs arranged in reducing semi circles. A beautiful example of its genre and previously acquired from The Ballyedmond Collection, Belgrave Square, London. Can be rewired for US electrical spec at no additional cost.
